This group has been working hard for the past year or so, to bring the first off-leash dog park in West Virginia to Morgantown! If you're looking for a good cause to support -this is it! BOPARC is the park district for the greater Morgantown area, and have been FANTASTIC in their support of dog-related activities as part of their overall mission to the community! This is who MDOG is working with to bring about the first ever bark park in West Virginia - they already sponsor a Swim With Your Dog day at Marilla Park Pool- which is a HUGE blast!
Mark Jones Grooming/Animal House - Star City/Morgantown WV, ph.#598-1190 Most of us know this number by heart! Treat your dog to a day at the 'spa' and they'll come home looking and smelling better than they have in a LOOONG time! They also carry hard to find pet food, treats (get some Greenies - you won't regret it!), toys and healthcare supplies. Mark also invented and hosts the Star City Disc Dog Festival, and his dog Moses won the inagural Frisbee Contest!
Animal Medical Center - Drs. Alex Casuccio and Glodenna Legg, ph.#292-0126 Dr. C is also known as the WAJR Pet Doc, and can be heard the 1st and 2nd Friday of every month (1440 AM). He also has provided lots of help with surgery/rehabilitation for the West Virginia Raptor Rehabilitation Center!
Kennels - there are only 2 that we know of around Morgantown that really provide that 'extra' touch, and strive to give our dogs extra attention to reduce their stress levels - Abigolds B&B for Dogs (Becky Timpano 291-0913) and Mountain Laurel Kennel (Kathy Hardin 296-9400). We can't praise them too much because we're walking a fine line here - we want to help you find the best places, but we want them to be available when WE need them too!
